Salwar:

Salwar are loose pajama like trousers. The legs are wide at the top, and narrow at the ankle. Salwar are gathered at the waist and held up by a drawstring or an elastic band. The pants can be wide and baggy or narrower, and even made of fabric cut on the bias. In the latter case they are known as Churidar. There are several types of Salwars including the Patiala Salwar, Pencils, Afghan Salwars, and Pakistani Salwars.

Patiala Salwar Kameez is a type of Salwar with less gathers and in a bit of masked fashion in the rear. The baggy, pleated look of the salwar hides the extra muscles and makes a Lady look slim and svelte.
